Welcome to ACD
Africa Competency Development Pty Ltd were accredited by “Investors in People” in 2004 as an excellent organisation, and by the ETDP SETA in 2002 and Service Seta as a provider of a range of occupational development and training programmes.
Our no frills, practical approach to workshops involves experiential learning exercises, face-to-face facilitation and learner support provided throughout the learning programme to assist with the gathering of evidence of competence. Learners develop their POE’s during the workshop and submit at the end of the learning
When facilitating learners through Skills Programme, Qualification or Learnership, we do not merely lead learners to competence via the content of the unit standard, rather we view our learning programmes as a vehicle for changing a learners “operating reality”. We pride ourselves on facilitating the “core / soul” of each of our workshops, which becomes evident during the course. We have been told by some, that our courses “change lives”.
Our sustainability as a Training Provider is based on awarded tenders and repeat work. Learner response (positive feedback, increased motivation and performance improvement) has led to learners enrolling for second year qualifications, and new skills programmes facilitated by our organisation.
Our head office is situated in Cape Town, with offices in Gauteng and KZN. We have the capacity to train in all 9 geographic areas.
